My name is Jenny and I'm a senior at UC Berkeley studying Cognitive Science, Design Innovation, and Data Science. What I love about design is the process of understanding individuals and creating digital experiences so tailored to our human emotions and experiences that it is both intuitive and memorable. Sometimes when I light my homesick candle, listen to a new daylist update, or look around at the themed lines for a Disneyland ride, it makes me think “these designers knew exactly what I needed, even if I didn’t,” and that’s the type of experience I hope to create through design! From intuitive digital elements to beautiful physical design, I love the visual strategy and storytelling that comes with design.
A little about me! I've always loved storytelling through the visual and performing arts (growing up, I was involved in dance, orchestra, band, and fine art!), and I hope to channel these creative lenses towards my designs. On a different note, I was born in Shanghai and grew up between New Zealand and Southern California, so I love traveling and learning more about the cultures and trends of different demographics. In my free time, you can find me choreographing in my room, crocheting my latest project (a daisy-patterned blanket), or painting pottery at color me mine!
